Preventive care, handled with care

Regular cervical screening and STI testing are an important part of preventive women's health care. Cervical screening starts from the age of 25, and Dr Chegu provides the Cervical Screening Test (HPV test, which has replaced the traditional Pap smear), along with STI screening, treatment, and sexual health advice — all in a private, respectful setting. No referral is needed. Self-collect kits are also available to suitable patients.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

No — you can book directly for cervical screening, STI testing, or a general sexual health check.

What does cervical screening involve?

The Cervical Screening Test (HPV test) has replaced the traditional Pap smear and is recommended every 5 years for most people with a cervix aged 25 to 74. She'll talk you through what to expect beforehand.

Can I do a self-collect test?

Self-collect kits are available to suitable patients as an alternative to a clinician-collected sample. She can talk you through whether this option is suitable for you.

What STI tests are available?

She can arrange testing and treatment for common STIs, along with general sexual health advice, in a private and non-judgemental setting.

Is this confidential?

Yes — all consultations are private and confidential.
